This course is aimed at all publishing professionals who are new to Open Access, or want to reinforce their understanding of key aspects. People familiar with Open Access but seeking a refresher on recent developments can also benefit from this On-Demand overview.
You will learn about the concept of Open Access and its huge role in scholarly publishing today, as well as essential insights such as types of Open Access, trends in business models, and a brief overview of how Open Access fits into Open Science/Open Research. In addition, you will become familiar with key drivers of Open Access in scholarly communications and the landscape of funders whose policies have shaped Open Access business developments.
This is Course 1 in the Open Access Journals pathway. It is made up of one module which is designed to take approximately one hour.
