Particularly relevant to those working in editorial, production and marketing departments at executive or associate level. Also relevant to those in the related departments such as administration, sales, subscriptions and customer service; as well as individuals who have not been working in the area for several years and are seeking a refresher.

Designed as a follow up to the ALPSP’s ‘How Journals Work’ introductory course (though this is not an essential prerequisite).

Learn more about the processes and operations of a journal in both print and online environments, step-by-step, from submission to publication. Understand what is meant by the terms such as ‘P&L', 'OA', and 'impact'. Build awareness of the contemporary journals and platforms publishing environment and debate (within the UK and globally), and the core threats and opportunities which face us as journals publishers.
